‘n Baie interessante gedeelte is Johannes 2:1 – 4:46. Dit begin en eindig in Kana. Daar loop ‘n goue draad deur hierdie gedeelte: Jesus vervul en vervang die ou orde van Moses met iets nuut.

Ons eenheid met Christus
Jesus en sy dissipels is aan tafel in die bovertrek. Hy sê ‘n merkwaardige ding: Daardie dag sal julle weet dat Ek in my Vader is en julle in My en Ek in julle (Johannes 14:20). Later sê Jesus: Ek in hulle (17:23). Hierdie waarheid is vir Jesus so belangrik dat Hy twee beelde gebruik om hierdie begrip aan ons te verduidelik.
