Antwoord:

Die enigste Verlosser is die Here Jesus Christus, die ewige Seun van God, in wie God mens geword het en dus self die straf vir die sonde gedra het. [Onderstreepte gedeelte is die antwoord vir kinders.]

Is daar enige manier om vry te kom van die straf en weer God se guns te wen?

Antwoord:

Ja, om aan sy geregtigheid  te voldoen, het God self uit genade, ons met Homself versoen en ons van sonde en die straf vir die sonde verlos deur ‘n Verlosser.

Vraag:

Sal God toelaat dat ons ongehoorsaamheid en afgodery ongestraf bly?

Antwoord:

Nee. Elke sonde is teen die oppermag, heiligheid en goedheid van God en teen sy regverdige wet. God is met reg kwaad oor ons sondes en sal dit straf in sy regverdige oordeel, beide in hierdie lewe en die lewe wat nog kom. [Onderstreepte gedeelte is die antwoord vir kinders.]

Wat is afgodery?

Antwoord:

Afgodery is om te vertrou vir ons hoop en geluk, betekenis en sekuriteit op dinge wat geskep is, en nie op die Skepper nie.
