Organisasies moet beide kenmerke van instellings en die dinamika van bewegings hê. Instellings bevorder stabiele gedragspatrone deur reëls en beleid wat stadig verander. Mense se keuses word beperk. Instellings vertrou op die onderwerping aan ‘n gevestigde gesag wat waardes en doelwitte van die verlede bewaar.
